Summer Solstice Island Power Jam
Part 1: PRE-DOG-SHOW: Herro Sugar, Paul Ivey & the Rubes, Bermuda Triangles, The Milkstains, Tyrannosaurus Awesome, The Garbers, Peace Beast
As I mentioned before (maybe more than once), time constraints are forcing me to try to control myself a bit when it comes to photographing and videoing shows I go to. But this was a show I really wanted documented. Luckily, my friend Silver was there with his video camera. He mentioned that he had about 4 hours on his battery and was going to have to leave after the dog show, so I told him I’d try to capture the bands that played after he left. So with that in mind, I took only a few pics of each band that played before the dog show because I didn’t want to run out of phone battery during the course of this 7-hour-long show.

18 May 2012 - Suburban Living, The Garbers, Super Vacations at Strange Matter
+ beercat, who was on stage for part of the show. I wonder who beercat belongs to and if it has a name other than beercat.

This song is SO DAMN CATCHY! It sticks in my head for days. Good thing I like it!
19 April 2012 - Peace Beast, The Garbers, and The Snowy Owls at Balliceaux, RVA.
I’m just amazed at how many talented bands we have in Richmond right now. It’s a really great time to be here.
A slightly more raucous show from me today, with lots of local bands and bands playing in town over the next few weeks. You can download or stream the podcast via the link above.
